More Frequent Email Reminders for Participants

Both as participant and organizer I would prefer email reminders of upcoming events to be sent in the way that GoToWebinar does:
- 12 hours before the event (great for planning the day ahead) AND
- 2 hours before the event (especially great when I am in a different time zone)
This would be instead of MaestroConference's single reminder 8 hours before the event. As a participant I really find the GoToWebinar reminder schedule a great and friendly convenience.
Also (this may be a bug) I'd like participants to get an email immediately when registering through the API just as they do when registering through the Registration Link. Right now they don't.

Actually Jeannine I'd prefer the interval NOT to be user configurable as knowing that the reminder from GoToWebinar is 12 hours and then 2 hours before the meeting is a big help - if I had to read the email and find out if it was 1 hour or 2 or 3, etc. on a case by case basis it would be much less effective. I find the single 8 hour thing from Maestro too late for planning the day and too early as a "wake up" call for the meeting.
You can customize the reminder message already in the conference Registration Settings: Customized Registration and Reminder Announcement.
Agreed - how about a standard setting (like 12 & 2), that they can then change? One of my groups said that they'd like one 24 hours ahead and another 1 hour ahead. Yes, I'm aware you can customize the one message, and it would be great to be able to include different reminders in the different messages - e.g., if they have material to review, you'd put that in a 24-hr reminder and a 12-hr one. And say you had an additional guest popping on after you'd sent out that reminder, you could include it in the next one.
Our conferences now come with 2 reminders - one 24 hours before the event and another 2 hours beforehand. Thanks for the request and votes!
