MC Video Status and Change Log

Status

MC Video is currently in beta, below is a list of known issues:

• The maximum meeting size is 500 participants with advanced notice. This is a temporary limitation until we sort out some server scaling issues during the coming weeks.
• The participant count in the Conductor's Interface may show a wrong number
• Viewing a screen sharing session on Firefox requests to run the Flash plugin
• Auto-filling profile details using Facebook does not work
• The camera light stays on after leaving the conference

 

Improvements & Fixes

• Added a new actions menu in that lets hosts quickly perform actions like changing a participant's mic type without opening the Conductor's Interface.
• During a meeting, your name now appears as "Name (You)" as opposed to just "You"

• Added a muted microphone indicator to participant webcams
• Fixed a bug that was preventing the Conductor's Interface sidebar from resizing correctly

May 24, 2021

• Made it much easier for hosts to start a meeting - you now only have to click Start Meeting and choose your user from a list. You no longer have to dial in and open the Conductor's Interface manually.
• Simplified the Quick Start section of the Meeting Edit page
• The Conductor's Interface can now be opened as a floating window or a sidebar inside the meeting page, so you no longer have to open it in a separate browser tab.
• Fixed a bug in the Conductor's Interface where the timer would cause an audio cue to play when reaching zero.
• Fixed a bug in the Info tab of the Conductor's Interface where the ID field was showing the participant's name instead of the caller ID.

• The Custom 1 and 2 columns in the Conductor's Interface are automatically hidden when there's no data to display
• Searching in the Conductor's Interface is now limited to visible columns

• Limited the number of webcams that can be seen at one time to 25 on video conferences to conserve video bandwidth
