This page will serve as a collection of tips and tricks, and I'll continue to add to it. Feel free to add yours in the comments below.
Before the conference:
- All of our phone numbers are interchangeable. So even if you are assigned 530-216-4294, for example, you can use 510-281-1111 instead. (Be sure to use your assigned PIN, though!) For our hosts, here is a list of the numbers available to you: http://myaccount.maestroconference.com/customer/access
- Multiple people can use the same PIN. If you are wanting to make registration even easier than our ridiculously simple registration page, you can give everyone a single PIN. To do so, go to Callers & PINs, and click the "Add Participant" button. Then take the PIN you just generated and share with the people you are inviting to your conference. Which leads me to the next tip...
- If you're using a generic PIN, see the phone number of your caller. I've seen our customers fill the name field on the interface with things like "Guest," "Caller," etc. To see each person's phone number instead, in Callers & PINs, make sure to leave the Name field blank for generic PINs. You can still use custom1 or 2 for identifying information. By leaving the Name field blank, on the live call, you'll be able to see their caller ID. When you're doing Q&A, rather than saying "Start speaking if you think it's you," you'll be able to say, "We have a question from someone with a 212 area code - go ahead."
